Five-year- old Sam White was at his grandfather's house. He always stayed with him at weekends, and he even had his own room. Sam loved ships, so his grandad had bought a beautiful painting of an old English ship for Sam's bedroom. He had found the painting in a small shop and it only cost a few dollars.
When Sam was twenty, he discovered that the painting was haunted! When it was midnight, a very scary ghost came out of the painting. Only one thing could destroy that ghost; Sam's painting. If Sam threw it at the ghost, it would disappear.
When he found out, Sam took the old painting and threw it at the ghost and it disappeared forever! People made Sam a hero when he destroyed the ghost.
